Kenneth Kinnard Mott 77 of Brooker passed away peacefully, Monday July 21, 2014 at North Florida Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Mr. Mott was born July 12, 1937 in Brooker to the late Howard and Jeanette Kelley Mott. He was retired from the Navy after 20 years of service; he also served in the Vietnam War. He was employed with the Bradford County School System where he was in the air conditioning and refrigerating until he retired. He was a member of the Brooker Baptist Church, serving as deacon and teaching Sunday school. Mr. Mott was on the Board of Directors of Dedan Cemetery, ex member of the New River Baptist Association. He was preceded in death by a brother Milton Mott.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Ina Stern Mott; Daughter: Sherra Mott Allen, husband Jim of Carriere, Miss; Grandchildren: Andrew Allen and Paige Allen both of Carriere, Miss.; Two sisters: Anneta Andrews of Brooker, Fl and Janice Jackson of Lake City; Brothers: Hal Mott (Cleo) of Clarksburg, Tenn., J.E Mott (Renae) of Brooker; Sister in Law: Louise Mott of Brooker, Fla.
Funeral Services for Mr. Mott will be Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Brooker Baptist Church, with Rev. Paul Samson. Burial will be at Dedan Cemetery following the service. Family invites friends for a visitation at 1:00 pm an hour prior to services at the church.
